In my personal life, i'm reinventing myself right now. I thought about how that process is messy and chaotic but how order emergs and sparks of light always show through. Obviously that was on my mind when i made this piece.

 

about the series: Amor Vincit Omnia
Shortly before the start of the first millennium, the Roman poet Virgil wrote "love conquers all things; let us too surrender to Love." The phrase and the concept (inLatin and in English) caught on: a character in Chaucer's The Canterbury Tales, written in the late 1300s, wore a brooch engraved "Amor Vincit Omnia."
