"Life Finds A Way"   series: Amor Vincit Omnia

small wall piece

$100

2019

about 3 inches tall

materials: epoxy clay, silver clay, tourmaline beads, glass fragments, garnet chips

That was such a good line from the movie Jurassic Park, wasn't it? and so true - life finds a way to thrive. I liked placing the vibrant silver leaves against the deep background in this piece.

about the series: Amor Vincit Omnia
Shortly before the start of the first millennium, the Roman poet Virgil wrote "love conquers all things; let us too surrender to Love." The phrase and the concept (inLatin and in English) caught on: a character in Chaucer's The Canterbury Tales, written in the late 1300s, wore a brooch engraved "Amor Vincit Omnia."
