"Come Follow Me"

small wall piece

about 3 inches tall

materials: epoxy clay, glass stringer fragments, pearls, silver clay, enamelled ring and tube, glass tube beads, vintage jewelry components, silver headpin

This year i'll be asking folks to "follow me" as i host several Creative Adventures in europe and elsewhere. It takes a weird kind of confidence to expect folks to follow you and with any luck, we won't be heading over any cliffs.  This piece has a Venetian feel to it, which is where one of my 'follow me' events will be held.

about the series: Amor Vincit Omnia
Shortly before the start of the first millennium, the Roman poet Virgil wrote "love conquers all things; let us too surrender to Love." The phrase and the concept (inLatin and in English) caught on: a character in Chaucer's The Canterbury Tales, written in the late 1300s, wore a brooch engraved "Amor Vincit Omnia."
